Favourite 5 Suede Designer Handbags
There’s no question about it. Suede is a huge trend for Autumn/Winter 2024, so naturally we are obsessed with pretty much every suede designer handbag that’s hot right now. Continue reading for a round up of our top 5 suede designer handbags, covering a variety of brands, styles and budgets.
5 – The Row Soft Margaux
Dubbed the new Birkin bag, the Margaux Bag by The Row has taken social media by storm in recent times. Like many of the handbags by The Row, the Soft Margaux is simplistic in design with zero monogram branding, which is a stark contrast to many other luxury fashion houses who go overboard with logos such as LV, Gucci & Fendi. The Margaux Bag is idea for weekend getaways or the daily commute into work, and has 2 top handles for easy wear on the shoulder. We’re head over heels in love with the suede version, especially the ‘Mocha’ colour, however the most recognised bag by The Row is very hard to get hold of, and it comes with a hefty price tag of anywhere over £4,000.
4 – Bottega Veneta Suede Jodie
Sadly this number is no longer available on the Bottega Veneta website, but it can still be secured via alternative websites including Net-A-Porter & Harrods. We have always been long standing fans of the Bottega Veneta Jodie, and seeing it in suede was truly the icing on the cake. Completed with the iconic intrecciato weave and knotted design, the Bottega Jodie secures with an easy to use zip closure and can be conveniently carried on the crook of the elbow or as a top handle.
3 – Saint Laurent Le 5 à 7 Suede Shoulder Bag
The YSL 5 à 7 Small Suede Shoulder Bag is at the lower end of Saint Laurent’s pricing range, at £2,020; this is a supple version of the iconic 5 à 7 bag, and is complete with the classic YSL logo on the closure and an adjustable shoulder strap. Simplicity is key in 2024, and the touch of YSL detailing on this beautiful suede bag will help elevate any outfit this season. The Suede 5 à 7 is also available in a larger version and the ‘bea’ model which is a slouched, XL tote style.
2 – Coach Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 39
This Coach model is surprisingly difficult to obtain, with the excellent price point of £495 and beautiful Cedar suede, and is perfectly on trend for the colder months. The Coach Brooklyn 39 can be easily worn on the shoulder, and is roomy enough for office essentials including an iPad, note books, a purse and stationary. Like all other handbags mentioned so far, the suede Coach Brooklyn 39 is ultra minimal, with the only branding being on the luggage tag.
1 – Demellier New York Tote
Since its launch, the Demellier New York has been a firm contemporary favourite of ours, and even more so in the suede mocha. Demellier offers two sizes in the New York; the Midi & Regular. The Midi New York Tote comes with an adjustable shoulder strap and is ideal for trips into the city, evenings spent with friends and ay errands in-between. The Regular New York Tote however is more suited for work and travel, as it holds everything including the kitchen sink! We love the minimal branding on the Demellier New York, and the subtle touch of hardware at the top of the bag.
